Google Play Store Bans Chinese App Developer with 600 Million Downloads
Google has banned Chinese app developer Do Global and began removing its current applications from the Play Store after a BuzzFeed News report found that the developer was submitting expansive scale advertisement fraud and abusing user permissions.
As per the report, 46 applications out of DO Global’s about 100 applications have been brought down.
An anonymous source revealed to the BuzzFeed News that more application expulsions will pursue, with Google moving to forbid DO Global from the Play Store inside and out.
“We actively investigate malicious behavior, and when we find violations, we take action, including the removal of a developer’s ability to monetize their app with AdMob or publish on Play,” a Google spokesperson said.
Google would not remark explicitly on the removals, yet a source with information about the activity said the organization was moving to ban DO Global by and large, and that more application evacuations would follow.
The Chinese organization claims to have in excess of 250 million active, dynamic clients for its applications and the scope of about 800 million clients through its promotional platform on Android.
