Twitter Locked Out those Who Change their Birth Dates to 2007

A viral prank on Twitter that promises users a colourful feed has caused some victims to get locked out of their accounts.
So, the prank suggests that if you change your birthday to 2007, the year Twitter launched, you’ll be able to unlock a new colour scheme, get admin privileges on the platform, get cash, or even get yourself a coveted blue verified check mark.
It’s turned out to be sufficiently huge of an issue that Twitter Support has issued a PSA alarming client to the trick
“We’ve noticed a prank trying to get people to change their Twitter birthday in their profile to 2007 to unlock new color schemes,” Twitter Support posted Tuesday afternoon. “Please don’t do this. You’ll get locked out for being under 13 years old.”
Sadly, there’s no colourful Twitter feed. Rather, adhering to these directions will keep you out of your account.
That is on the grounds that by changing your birth year to 2007, you flag to Twitter that you’re under 13 – the required age for making a Twitter account, under the stage’s terms of service.
Those sufficiently tragic to have fallen for the prank can contact Twitter Support and recover their records by uploading a duplicate of their government provided ID.
